The PET Resin Association (PETRA) is the industry association representing North American producers of PET (polyethylene terephalate).
PETRA actively represents the industry through its participation in a variety of public- and private-sector forums and cooperative efforts regarding the use of PET, recycled PET, and PET resin products.
PETRA is dedicated to using science-based evidence to educate stakeholders and the public about the benefits, value, safety, and recyclability of PET. PETRA provides accurate technical and scientific information about PET resin, PET packaging, recycling, and sustainability while working with policymakers, regulators, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance practical policies. These efforts support stronger PET recycling systems, increased use of recycled PET, food-contact safety, and a more circular packaging economy.
